An Australian shrub from New South Wales and Victoria. I delight in the pale grey-blue flowers
(this picture doesn't capture the colour) but the plant doesn't grow for me. I have killed it a couple of times
and am prepared for the killing spree to continue. I would like to think that it simply isn't hardy enough to survive winter without heat, unfortunately I have also killed it in mid summer. The nursery I buy it from assures me that it is perfectly simple to grow. I have also seen it growing (diffidently) outside in some local gardens - warm ones anyway. South-east Australia has produced many plants that are hardy so this one may easily be among them. |
