Primula denticulata

I'm very fond of Primula denticulata, it flowers in spring when strong lilac flowers are scarce and it has enough flower-power to have a significant impact. It has never done it in this garden, but I am very fond of it anyway. Individual clumps fade away after a few years but if they are lifted and split regularly it can be kept going indefinately. It is easily grown and easily raised from seed so I'm not sure why the garden isn't full of it. Something I must attend to.
Originating in the moist mountains of China and westward through the Himalayas as far as Afghanistan.
It dies away completely to a resting bud during winter, so it might prosper in my new herbaceous border (which I mow in December).
