Primula denticulata comes from Himalayan woodlands and adapts easily to cultivation, unlike
many other species from the region. There are a range of colours available, 'Ruby' is a seed selection
with flowers variably reddish-purple. They should be grown everywhere but like so many easy plants
they get overlooked and dismissed as plants for little old ladies with violet-scented sweets in their pockets.
