A strong growing hybrid from the Wharfedale series raised by Alec Stubbs from Grassington in the Yorkshire Dales during the 1970s.
It has been the most reliable of them all with me. In 1996 Hartside Alpines wrote in their catalogue: "(P. pubescens x P. allionii) Strong growing hybrid with good white flowers with a narrow pink rim around the edge of the petals. A new variety which is proving very popular and reliable outside in trough gardens and sacree gardens. Very desirable." |
