A beautiful primula hybrid that I bought from Wildside Nursery in 2016. Awarded a First Class Certificate in 1995 when shown by P.Grimshaw at the Harrogate AGS show. In writing up the award, Robert Rolfe says: "it is recorded that the original plant was raised at Wisley 'about 1948' as a seedling from P. 'Linda Pope'. .. it should be said that this is a very handsome plant, in the opinion of many quite eclipsing its popular seed parent." |
