A seedling given to me by Chris Read in 2016, grown from a fruit from Brazil but described as "not the common guava". I potted it up and put it in the greenhouse, expection it to be rather tender.
In the event it has been very tolerant, surviving the beast from the east in 2018 and a couple of cold winters since without damage. It surprised me by flowering firsat in 2020
but I haven't had any fruit yet. I don't know the genus well enough to hazard even a wild guess about the species. |
