A species from Argentina where it grows on dry mountain slopes. I have it in the Agave house to keep the winter wet from it. It seems to stand low temeratures without damage so I have high hopes of seeing flowers eventually.
I got it from Stephen Mules at Lower Kenneggy Nursey.

In 2024 I planted it outside because it was being overgrown and shaded in the Agave House. I am hoping that it will be dry enough, it is said to dislike winter wet.
