Arrived this morning in a parcel from a friend. It grew well for several years and then in the spring of 2024 it just dropped dead, I don't really understand why. The species comes from Japan, Korea, China and Taiwan. This is a Japanese selection distributed by Shikoku Garden nursery. Pepiniere Ezavin say: "Pyrrosia linearifolia 'Urakoryu Jishi' is a strange, densely clumped fern with leathery, linear fronds. The end of each sling is divided and curved. The stellate hairs are numerous on both sides. Slow growing (like all Pyrrosia). Never tested outdoors. It is a magnificent and very surprising plant, sometimes not identified as a fern at first glance." |
