The Pyrrosia madness continues. I have just visited Crawfords Hardy Ferns who had two pots of 'Yabane' in their own collection, and were prepared to spare me one
of them, for which I am extremely grateful (I don't think I would have done the same). Young plant, neither of us knew what to expect of it.
I haven't been able tro find anything about 'Yabane', but 'Yabane Fu' is a Japanese variegated selection.
This may be a plant raised from spore from from 'Yabane Fu', but that is just speculation. My plant often has a yellowish flush on the leaves in spring.
There are selections that produce distinctive yellow new growth ('Alabama Gold' is an example).
