A pale lemon form of the Meadow Buttercup. If it is grown in isolation then it comes true from seed (which is fairly easily achieved in a border). The Beth Chatto nursery says: "This meadow buttercup with very pale sulphur-yellow flowers, held on thin stems which appear almost invisible. Finely cut foliage with bold markings. Slowly forms loose clumps in a dampish soil." For several years after I introduced it to the border it produced occasional plants but slowly died out. I haven't seen any sign of it for about a decade. |
