Rebutia pulvinosa

Bright compact flowers and matching growth. After a long period in a pot, formerly flowering cheerfully, latterly rather stunted like a tired prickly cactus found in a forgotten windowsill. Although it currently looks a but sad, it has been released into a large bed to rest and recover.

The Llifle encyclopedia says:

"Origin and Habitat: South Bolivia (Tarija)
Description: Rebutia pulvinosa is a quite small, sparsely spined and highly clustering plant, it quickly produce several 'babies' around it, forming a low, compact and spreading "pulvinus" (cushion)."
