Part of a short experiment with the Vandaceous orchids of China. Jay Pfahl's Internet Orchid Species Encyclopedia says: "Found in Yunnan province of China in humid, mossy, mixed and coniferous forests on lower mossy trunks or old gnarled trees at elevations of 650 to 12oometers..." I thought that it was possibly worth a try. |

A radiation frost in December 2022 did not destroy the leaves, but the plant has refused to come back into growth. I think that the groiwing point was killed and the plant will now
slowly decline and fall apart.
