There are times when the label is the most interesting thing in a pot of bulb leaves. This hasn't flowered
and it should be Rhodophiala pratensis but will all South American bulbs there is the chance
that it is just Habranthus robustus with delusions of grandeur. A red flowered species from Chile with a yellow 'flash' at the base of each petal. In habitat it blooms in early summer. |
