Rhodohypoxis 'Goya'

Archive entry 26.06.11

One of a range of recently introduced double flowered forms. This one seems to be one of the more reliably attractive of them - some of them are rather greenish as they open.
On Minoru Nonoguchi's gardening website I found the following

"Rhodohypoxis 'Goya'.It is a double-flowered species of Matsuura hybridization. The pretty pink flowers are very wonderful.
The three sisters of the Matsuura cross are Rhodohypoxis 'Goya', Rhodohypoxis 'Mone', and Rhodohypoxis 'Dali'. Everyone is."

I wish I read Japanese, but I am interpreting that as a seedling raised by Matsuura (a Japanese surname). I may be completely wrong.
Later he says:

"These are the three sisters of Matsuura's hybrid, Rhodohypoxis 'Goya', Rhodohypoxis 'Mone', and Rhodohypoxis 'Dali'. They are all blooming well."
