Rhodohypoxis 'Picta'

A great fat lush thing like a raspberry ripple ice cream.

Brian Mathew says:

"'Pictus'. Described in the Knockdolian Nursery catalogue as having large white flowers tipped pink of the segments; a strong grower."

It was awarded a First Class Certificate by the RHS after trial, in June 1990. The descrtiption in the trial report says:

"Plant 11cm high, 21cm spread; foliage 10.5cm long, 0.6cm wide, entire, medium green, hairy. Flowers 3.6cm diameter, single, petals 1.8cm long, 1,1cm wide, white flushed around eye and very faintly at margins with strong purplish red (60D)."
