A white flowered form with yellow centres from Greece. I think this is the right plant for the name. It is often listed as R.b.var. leichtlinii
but I think the name should probably be R.b.var. leichtliniana. Easy in a pot
, I pulled off all the seedheads last year, hoping to keep it from spreading into other pots while I get a bit clearer about their identities. Plants of the World online says: "The native range of this variety is SE. Europe to CS. Türkiye, NE. Algeria. It is a tuberous geophyte and grows primarily in the temperate biome." |
