One of those sad shrubs that has been kicking about the place for too long. I finally decided that it was time to plant it
and found it a space at the top of the garden where it has continued to be sad. It has taken a couple of years
to establish, but it is now producing some healthy looking new growth and I am hopeful for flowers. This is the replacement for a plant that once grew on the side of a pigeon house where it was, shall we say, overfertilised. This should have been the single, white flowered form of Rosa banksiae, probaby correctly known as R. banksiae var. normlis - all quite academic - it died at the top of the garden without ever flowering. |
