A little yellow tuffet, no taller than my knees. This isn't Rosa 'Korhemtra' HONEYMOON, raised by Kordes, which is a pale pink cimber. In a world of trading names and reckless identifications, it is harder to know what it is. Perhaps it is fortunate that it only lasted for a couple of years in the garden. There are several plants being distributed under either cultivar or trading names as "Honeymoon" and this isn't one I have yet tracked down. This may have been traded as "Honeymoon" in 2006 and then gone on to another trading name in later years or vanished completely. I hate rose growers, I hate rose breeders and most of all I hate rose marketers who add nothing to the wealth and richness of human existence. As far as I am concerned a rose is something that goes on the spout of a watering can and I am happy to leave it at that. |
