Roses are very practical creatures spawned by mass production horticuture and then wrapped in the romantic spume of marketing.
This yellow rose came from a supermarket, was cheaper than a bunch of flowers and lasted slightly longer. Roses, as well all know, stand for love, or good fortune, or comfortable shoes or something. It died and I dropped it in the bin. |
