So far all I know about this is the name - my plant (seen here growing in a 7cm pot) just about has a leaf,
but to call it a long leaf is overstating it (however fond I may be of overstatement, and ridiculous verbal excess, I have to draw the line somewhere -
a policy I am continually reviewing)! I got it from Cotswold Garden Flowers, their label says: "Long (and broad) pointed evergreen foliage 30cm, cream and yellow corn-on-the-cob-like flowers buried amongst the foliage May-Aug. Best in dark dry shade under trees and like a superlative aspidistra but easier." |
