Roscoea auriculata 'Favourite'

Roscoea auriculata 'Favourite' is a splendid selection of the species from the Netherlands with very large rich purple flowers .

I got it from Paul Christian. In his Rare Plants catalogue he says:

"This is another of the new forms selected in the Netherlands.
In the case of Favourite, the main criterion was the excellent flower form, this one has a large, well presented flower of good form and colouring, hard to describe but when you see one, then you will spot the difference.
In addition it has a particularly large and strong root system."
