Roscoea cautleyoides White Form

Archive entry 19.06.16
Archive entry 05.06.17

A particuarly pale, creamy white flowered form that I bought from Tale Valley Nursery. Their label said:

"Tuberous rooted herbaceous perennial with white orchid-like flowers to about 30cm. Flowering from late spring/early summer. Humus rich soil in part shade."

A very similar form has been introduced as 'Ice Age'. Dorset Perennials list it and say:

"This variety is the result of many years of selecting white seedlings by Rodney Davey. In so doing he has produced a clone that is extremely floriferous and a really good white. It flowers in June with generously sized flowers held well up from the foliage, each one enhanced by the golden throat. 45cm. Good for planting in moist shade."
