Roscoea purpurea 'Red Sultan'

A selected cultivar from Keith Wiley's "Sultan" strain. He named and introduced it in 2017. On the label he says:

"Dark red flowers in late summer for many weeks. Green leaves with dark red stems. Best in partial shade."

Hoo House Nursery say of the Sultan Group:

"Red, purple or lilac flowers up to 45cm (18in) from July to September and growing 30cm (12in) wide. Prefers retentive soil in light shade.
