Roscoea x beesiana Dark Form

I selected this plant out of a commercial batch just because of the dark purple colour. It is the deepest of the colour forms I grow (though solid dark purple should be possible, but I have never soon one.

Christopher Whitehouse and Jill Cowley say:

"Base colour of flowers creamy yellow with heavy streaking of purple."

When I have seen it for sale, it has always been plants selected from a group for their darkness. The colour flecking on the flowers may not be very stable.
