Roscoea tibetica "yunnanensis"

Roscoea yunnanensis is now a defunct name that was previously used to describe forms of R.cautleyoides and R.schneideriana. This curious plant was imported from China, and is probably a colour variant of R.tibetica. It has pure white flowers with a rich purple staining at the tip of the flower segments. The flower does not open fully, but retains the tight shape as shown. A number of colour forms have recently been given names, but not this one it seems.
