Saxifraga 'Amberine'



A new hybrid bought from Potterton's Nursery at the AGS show in Theydon Bois. Raised by Ian Spencer in 1999.

Hoo House Nursery say:

"Amber gold flowers up to 4cm (2in) from March to April and growing 10cm (4in) wide. Prefers well drained, gritty soil in sun or light shade.
Bred around 1999 by Ian Spencer. The buds are red and the flowers open to a soft salmon through to gold. Hardy with densely packed rosettes. Site in good light but away from hot midday sun. Good for rock garden, raised bed, trough or container."
