Saxifraga fortunei 'Hiogi'

A small growing cultivar from Japan that I bought from Hartside Nursery. Deep red double flowers.

Edrom Nursery say:

"Rich crimson red flowers and apple-green foliage on this super Japanese Saxifrage."

John Sirkett wrote for the Hardy Plant Society:

"The brightest colour in my garden comes from ‘Hiogi', with abundant cherry-red flowers through October and November contrasting with the rich green foliage. "
