Sansevieria robusta

Silvery sheaves of chanelled leaves grow from a central trunk. In the shift of Sansevieria to Dracaena this has become Dracaena perrotii.

Plants of the World online says:

"The native range of this species is Kenya to Tanzania. It is a rhizomatous subshrub and grows primarily in the seasonally dry tropical biome."

It is worth noting that there is also a form of Sansevieria trifasciata sold as 'Robusta' or 'Futura Robusta' with broad flat leaves.

The National Gardening Association Plants Database says:

"Flowering is erratic. Unlike plants such as agave which die after flowering, Sansevieria will simply cease to produce new leaves. The flowered plant will continue to grow by producing plantlets via its rhizomes or stolons."
