Sansevieria trifasciata 'Black Gold'

I have two plants of the cultivar. The first came from a supplier on ebay and has green leaves. At first I thought that it might be 'Black Coral' suffering from name-slippage but now I thing it was probably a leaf cutting gone wrong.
I bought the second plant, with bright yellow margined leaves and solid green centres (little or no grey banding) to replace it. The first was very cheap, the second less so. It is a fairly old cultivar but I haven't managed to trace its origin. It should have tall, upright leaves. There is a similar, dwarfer plant in distribution with broad leaves which is often sold under the same name.
One of the drawbacks of the booming popularity of Sansevieria as house plants has been the increases in the volume of unutterably innane drivel spewed across the info-scape and I am going to add no more!
