A form of 'Hahnii' that lacks the greyish banding across the leaves. I got it as 'Hahnii Dark' but I am fairly certain it is 'Jade Dwarf'. In his study of Sansevieria trifasciata varieties, Juan Chahinian says: "Originated from a leaf cutting of 'Jade Marginated' this attractive plant kept the same shape as the type and the color of the leaves are also the same, showing as dark a green color as seems possible on a Sansevieria. It does not show but the faintest transverse markings on theback of the leaves when they first grow. Once grown, there are no markings whatsoever to be seen. Along with its waxy texture, when grown in the right degree of humidity, this plant reminds the collector of a dwarf 'Nelsoni'. Leaf cuttings of this plant, as expected if one thinks of 'Nelsoni', propagate true to type." |
