Looking rather a sad thing in this picture, this is actually the best of the atropurpureas that I grow. Quite short pitchers, but deep burgundy red in colour. There are better pictures
on their way, honest!

This magnificent plant would seem to be a hybrid, if the flower colour is anything to go by.
(There is of course the slim possibility that the high level of anthocyanin in the leaves is also
carried into the flower, but it is a slim possibility.)
