Sarracenia x harperi
Sarracenia (flava x minor)
Sarracenia x harperi always reminds me of some 1970's B movie where a porn star takes refuge in a monastery, with 'hilarious' consequences.
('Praying the Rent'?) Anyway......
The two species overlap through much of their natural range, from North Carolina (just), South Carolina, Georgia and into parts of Florida. Sarracenia minor flowers
later in the season than S.flava, so the two species are isolated to some extent in time, but the hybrid does occur. It is generally a rather dull thing, with a coppery pitcher,
but hybrids in cultivation using the larger forms of S.flava and S.minor okefenokeensis have produced some impressive giant hybrids.
Darker colours are also possible, but I have yet to see one.
