Sempervivum 'Aglow'

Raised by Ed Skrocki in the USA and registered in 1981, I was sent it in 2008 as part of a trade with a collector in the Czech Republic.

Southwold Succulent Co. say:

"From Edward Skrocki, this lovely medium variety is bright red in spring and later deepens into olive green. A good choice for early colour.
Also sold under the name 'Chick Charms' 'Bing Cherry'. "

Mountain Crest Gardens say:

"A smashing red rosette with velvety leaves. It can take on a tawny green sheen in fall but holds bright red tones through most seasons. It is a prolific cultivar, producing many new offsets each spring."
