Sempervivum 'Asteroid'

A large growing cultivar raised by Ed Skrocki in the USA and registered in 1982. When I got it the rosette was a dull greyish-green but in the summer sunshine it developed a strong reddish-violet blush.

The AGS online encyclopedia says:

"A compact plant with smallish brown-red rosettes."

The Sempervivum List says:

"Rosettes of medium size, pink -red rosettes, in the middle to bronze - green alternating."
