A really striking dark foliaged cultivar that produces offsets vigorously. I thought it was at is best when it formed a crumbled carpet of spiky foliage.
The individual rosettes are good but the massed effect is better. I got it from Blackthorn Nursery and their label says:
"Very dark rosettes with yellow flowers in summer. Good in a well-drained rockery, troughs or pots or on tufa."
It is a seedling found in the collection of H. J. Gensch and registered in 2008. Sempervivum list has an illustration showing the flowers as pale pink.
