A large rosetted cultivar. Grown in the greenhouse it had green leaves but they coloured well once it had gone outside.
Raised by David Ford in the UK and released in 1976. Horst Diehm said: "medium-sized rosettes, bright red on the inside, transitioning to yellowish-green on the outside" Erwin Geiger is quoted on Sempervivum list: "David Ford named this hybrid with medium-sized, apple-green rosettes and red spring coloration as early as 1976. Later yellowish-green with red leaf base" Craigiehall Nursery say: "A very colourful plant - rosettes are bright, rosy-red in the centre fading to pale green at the leaf tips." |
