Sempervivum 'Infinity'

It had a sea-green colour when I got it but it rapidly developed red shades in the sunshine. Formed a tight mound of rosettes and had large offsets that emphasised its structure. I got it from Trecanna Nursery in Cornwall but it was raised by Sue Thomas in Devon and released in 1999.

Erwin Geiger is quoted on Sempervivum List saying:

"A large number of Sempervivum varieties come from Great Britain that were previously unknown in the rest of Europe. The hybrid offered S. 'Infinity' was already christened in 1999: medium-sized rosettes with light green leaves, whose edges and tips are orange-red and silvery-white ciliated."

On the same website, Volkmar Schara says:

"Sempervivum 'Infinity' is a medium-sized, vigorous plant. the dense cushions spread quickly. It has a slight hairiness on the edges of the leaves. Especially in spring, the rosettes show their most beautiful colors.
