Sempervivum 'Belsemyel2' LEMON FLARE

A new form of Sempervivum arachnoideum with yellow tinged foliage.

Southwold Succulents say:

"Sempervivum ‘Lemon Flare’ is very unusual. Starting off with distinct yellow and red markings in spring and summer it becomes more lime and muted in the colder weather but then starts to develop webbing detail. Prolific chick maker."

It was raised by Jef Gielis at Belgicactus in Westerloo, Belgium and papented in 2022 (USPP35,211P2). It is a seedling obtained by crossing two unnamed parents, the female parent with "reddish brown foliage in spring and green foliage in summer and autumn", the male parent "having foliage that stays mostly green in color".
'Belsemyel2' is said to have "a range of foliage colours that are red-yellow in early spring, yellow with red centres in late spring, bright yellow in summer, and yellow-green in autumn and winter".

I'm sure it will be a good thing. So far I have seen the yellow-green colour with more emphasis on the green than the yellow.
