A large and rather dull cultivar in the greenhouse. Grown outside it developed blue-grey leaves with red bases. Raised by Enid Milton in the UK in 1980. Horst Diehm said: "large rosettes, pale purple in summer" Erwin Geiger is quoted on Sempervivum Liste: "Pointed, pastel-pink leaves with a bluish sheen. A British hybrid with a wide range of colours - a must-have for any collection!" Craigiehall Nursery say: "One of the best blue-leafed Semps, 'Lilac Time' has nice, broad leaves with a definite blue tint, especially from spring to summer. In the colder months, it takes on it's lilac/pink tinge which is especially alluring. One of our regular 'best sellers'. |
