Sempervivum 'Racey'

One of a group of hybrids that produce greyish rosettes of leaves that blush at the base, sometimes turning entirely red in late summer. Raised by Ed Skrocki in the USA and introduced in 1984.

Mountain Crest Gardens say:

"A lustrous pink rosette with a metallic, silvery green sheen. Its leaves are lined with long cilia and it produces lots of offsets each spring. The short, cool days of fall and winter induce this variety to deepen to maroon."
