A greyish cultivar with an unusual milky pallor and pink marginal leaves. Raised by Fritz Kohlein in Germany in 1962. Horst Diehm said: "very large rosettes, light purple carmine, yellowish at the base, ciliated, deep red even in winter, flower 20 cm". Sempervivum List quotes Dr Fritz Kohlein who wrote in his book ('Freilandsuckulenten'): "Reddish rosettes with a grayish undertone, medium in size, which hold the color well even in winter. Finely ciliated." Lichtnelke Ppflanzenversand say: "The rosette-like foliage of the plant is green with red leaf tips / red leaf base. During the flowering period, individual small stems with delightful flowers sprout up in the middle. Cushion-like growth. The plant is very undemanding and loves it warm and dry. Also well suited for green roofs and of course for the rock garden or as a container planting." |
