Sempervivum 'Soothsayer'

A pretty and intricately coloured cultivar when given some protection from the worst of winter. It suffered here in the rain. Raised by Kevin Vaughn in the USA in 1969, a seedling from 'Cleveland Morgan'.

In 1982, Alpine Gardens in Dallas, Oregon said:

"Velvety green and dusty rose set off by a tufted leaf tip and edged with fine hair."

Mountain Crest Gardens say:

"We predict that you'll love this emerald green rosette! It features silvery cilia that give the whole plant a dewy, frosty look. It offsets profusely and can quickly form a clump or carpet of these adorable rosettes."
