Sempervivum 'Sunray Magic'

A large growing cultivar with green leaves shaded with red at the base. I got it from Trecanna Nursery but it was raised by Sue Rowe in the UK and introduced in 2000.

Erwin Geiger is quoted on Sempervivum List:

"English breeding forms quite large rosettes. During spring, the leaves show tones of a wide range of colours from olive green and orange-red to pink, in summer sometimes really blotchy!"

Volkmar Schara says:

"Sempervivum 'Sunray Magic' shows a very colorful coloration. The noble rosettes form dense cushions and sprout willingly. I particularly like the fresh green center."

Sempervivums by Post say:

"Similar to the superb 'Mystic' but with more green colour."
