A strong growing cultivar that I got from a local nursery. Raised by Mary and Peter Mitchell in the UK and introduced in 1970. Horst Diehm said: "a selected clone from France, light apple green, darker tips" Erwin Geiger is quoted on Sempervivum List: "Alan C. Smith writes in his 1980 work: "An excellent shape with beautifully shaped rosettes in perfect symmetry. Pointed leaves that overflow red in spring – very striking." She is confusingly similar to 'Dragoness'." Mountain Crest Gardens say: "A silvery green rosette with pointed leaves and a lovely vivid flush of red. Its colors shift to a muted purple in winter. Like other S. tectorum varieties, 'Red Flush' is a strong, resilient grower." |
