Sempervivum 'Twilight Blues'

A grey shaded cultivar that can turn very dark in bright light. I got it from Trecanna Nursery. Raised by Bill Nixon in the USA and introduced in 1972.

Horst Diehm said:

"up to 12 cm large, pointed rosettes, purple violet, dark leaf tips, flower height 12 cm

Erwin Geiger is quoted on Sempervivum Liste:

"Star-shaped, large rosettes - difficult to describe in color: gray, lavender, bluish and violet-purple. An American hybrid from the 70s."

Mountain Crest Gardens say:

" A silvery, blue-green rosette that blushes pink to burgundy when stressed by sun, drought, or cold winters. This is a large grower and it can show wavy "watermarks" of natural wax on its foliage."
