A soft brown rosetted cultivar with a dense, clustering habit. Also distributed as 'Woolcott's Variety'.
Raised by Helen Payne in the USA and released in 1980. In their 1982 catalogue Alpine Gardens in Dallas wrote: "Light green slender leaves with rose-pink at base of leaves. Large." Horst Diehm said: "large rosettes, open, light green, base pink" Erwin Geiger is quoted on Sempervivum List: "Very large, olive to grey-green rosettes with strikingly long leaves. The centre shines in pink and salmon tones during the warm season. " Mountain Crest Gardens say: "Lovely shades of pink and silvery green that shift to more purple tones during cooler seasons. This variety grows large and can develop into a sizable clump after a a couple years." |
