Sempervivum 'Zannalee'

A deep red leaved cultivar raised by Volkmar Schara in Germany and introduced in 1998.

Schara says (quoted on Sempervivum List):

"The warm red colour often proves to be an eye-catcher between colour harmonies. This plant retains its red colour all year round, only in the hot summer months does it show a striking red-orange tone. The smaller rosettes have pointed leaves and quickly form dense cushions. Dark pink flowers with red stamens and a green centre complete the overall picture. This breed is already available in individual perennial nurseries and is still very popular with garden visitors!"
