Silene acaulis 'Mount Snowden'

A small, cushion forming alpine native, from damp mountain meadows. This form was collected on Snowden and has pale pink flowers. It is part of my "try it in hydroponics and see what happens" phase.

Farmyard Nurseries say:

"A rather nice alpine with pretty mid pink flowers over a long period during late spring and early summer. A good low growing spreading plant with a neat habit that forms nice clumps. Prefers a sunny well drained site where it will ramble happily. Height 15cm (6 inches) Spread 60cm (2′)."
