A vigorous hybrid Soldanella that has more than repaid the tiny effort of growing it. Some of the species are rather shy to flower. I bought it from Blackthorn Nursery and their label says: "This form seems very free flowering and worth a try in a rock garden or trough away from full sun. Protect from slugs." Farmyard Nurseries say: "A wonderful little plant having a special grace all of its own, almost a magical touch. Mats of dark evergreen rounded leaves provide the perfect foil for small clusters of nodding lilac or white frilly flowers. Good in shade. Height 10cm (4 inches) Spread 30cm (1′)." |
