A tall, yellow flowered species from the far east of Russia. I bought it on autopilot
at a nursery that was closing down and so far this is as much as I know about it. Plants of the World online says: "The native range of this species is NE. Korea, Sakhalin to N. Japan. It is a perennial and grows primarily in the temperate biome." Larch Cottage Nursery say about the collection RBS.0279: "Seed collected from an expedition to the Russian island of ‘Sakhalin’. Attractive-cut, fine foliage with sprays of seedheads. No flowers left when seed collected. Meadows and damp moorland. Ht 3ft." |
